Users Upgrading to OnePager Express Version 7.0 from Previous OnePager Express Versions

If you are a user of OnePager Express versions prior to Version 7.0 you are required to re-key your license by requesting a OnePager Express Version 7.0 license key from our website. After installing Version 7.0 on your computer using the standard installation procedure, you will be presented with this screen:

There are two options available for re-keying your OnePager Express Version 7.0 license: (1) Re-Key Now and (2) Snooze.

Re-Key Now Option

To re-key your OnePager Express Version 7.0 license on your first launch access to OnePager Express Version 7.0, follow the instructions in the above form, click the Re-Key Now button to be taken to the OnePager.com website where a OnePager Express Version 7.0 Replacement Key is provided.

Return to the above form and click the Next button which takes you to the OnePager Express License form shown below:

P70-2 6 1-70-(0B)-09082020.png

Follow the instructions in the form and paste the Replacement Key in the License Key: in the above form and click the Close button. When the OnePager Express license form closes you are ready to use OnePager Express in the NEW, UPDATE, or OPEN modes.

If, however, you close the above form without re-keying you do have access to OnePager Express Version 7.0 on a fifteen (15) day trial basis as indicated at the bottom of the OnePager Express Start form.

Snooze Option

If you selected the Snooze option from the OnePager Message form, you are provided with a fifteen (15) day trial license to OnePager Express Version 7.0. Clicking the Snooze button also takes you to the OnePager Express Start form. You can continue to use OnePager Express Version 7.0 with the trial license until the fifteen (15) day trial period expires. Each day during the trial period OnePager Express Version 7.0 will ask you if you want to Re-Key Now. You have the option to do so by clicking the Re-Key Now button or continue on with the trial license by clicking the Snooze button. Two days before the trial license period ends another OnePager Message appears when OnePager Express Version 7.0 is launched as shown below:

P70-2 6 1-70-(0C)-09082020.png

Using the form's Re-Key Now button you can request a Replacement Key at this point as described above. The Snooze button remains enabled so you can click the Snooze button to continue using OnePager Express Version 7.0 on this day. Clicking the Next button allows you to use your trial license for OnePager Express Version 7.0 for one more day. If, however, you close the above form without re-keying you do have access to OnePager Express Version 7.0 for two (2) day more as indicated at the bottom of the OnePager Express Start form. If you need assistance, please contact the OnePager License Department at Contact Us.

With one day remaining in your trial period, launching OnePager Express Version 7.0 causes this OnePager Message form to appear as shown below:

P70-2 6 1-70-(0D)-009082020.png

It is recommended that you use the Re-Key Now option button and complete the Replacement Key process. However, you can still use OnePager Express Version 7.0 throughout the day by clicking the Snooze button on the form.

On the last day of the trial period, launching OnePager Express Version 7.0 causes this final OnePager Message form to appear as shown here:

P70-2 6 1-70-(0E-1)-08312020.png

The intent of this message is to advise you that this is the last day of the fifteen (15) day trial period and that OnePager Express Version 7.0 will be locked and unavailable for you to use if you do not obtain a OnePager Express Version 7.0 Replacement Key before the end of the day. If, however, you click the Next button the above form without re-keying you do have access to OnePager Express Version 7.0 for one (1) more day as indicated at the bottom of the OnePager Express Start form.

Although the above form provides instructions on how to revert and save your work should you not choose to upgrade to OnePager Express Version 7.0, we recommend that you click the Re-Key Now button to continue using OnePager Express Version 7.0. At this point, the Snooze option is not available. After the fifteen (15) trial period has expired and you attempt to launch OnePager Express Version 7.0, the OnePager Message form shown below appears:

P70-2 6 1-70-(0F)-09082020.png

The form above notifies you that OnePager Express Version 7.0 is not available for you to use. You may click the Re-Key Now button to obtain your Replacement Key as described above or you can uninstall OnePager Express Version 7.0 and install the version of OnePager Express you purchased. When you complete the re-keying process you do have access to OnePager Express Version 7.0 as indicated at the bottom of the OnePager Express Start form shown here:

Request to Transfer a License to Another Computer or User

It may be necessary from time to time to transfer a OnePager Express license from a licensed computer to a new computer and/or new OnePager Express user. If this is needed, please contact the OnePager Licensing Department at this email address: Licensing Department.

Special Situations

Sometimes there are special environments where Chronicle Graphics’ automated licensing system cannot be accessed, making it necessary to manually copy the Installation Code into an email. In these situations it is often easy to confuse certain characters (e.g. the letter ‘l’ and the number ‘1’), resulting in an invalid Installation Code. To help mitigate this, we added a checkbox titled Use colors on look-alike characters. Checking this checkbox alters the appearance of the Installation Code as shown below:

X70-2 6 1-70-(6)-07032019.png

As shown above, there is a legend next to the checkbox that helps you make sure you have the right characters when you are in this situation. When, despite the color coding, you email us an Installation Code that is invalid, we can use fuzzy logic processing to check for similar codes differing only by these look-alike characters. If we find a valid Installation Code, we email you the resulting License Key. Otherwise, we notify you that your Installation Code was invalid for other reasons and help you resolve the issue. As an added support measure, we upgraded to our licensing system to support computers that have the FIPS algorithm policy enabled.

OnePager Express Desktop Application

The OnePager Express (OPX) Desktop application using the same methodology to activate a valid Installation Code as does the Add-in application.
