===Deleting Background Images===

The three (3)  '''View modes''' are:

5) You have the option to '''delete''' a '''background image''' from the '''current snapshot''' or '''all snapshots''' by first right-clicking on the '''background image''' to access the '''background image''' right-click '''context menu''' and then making a selection from the '''Delete''' command and its sub-command as shown in the '''context menu''' below:

The '''Normal View mode''' is the default '''view mode''' in the '''Chart Editor''' window when OnePager is launched. ====Page Break====

6) You have the option, as noted in the discussion above, to '''delete background images''' from '''individual snapshots'''.
+
The '''Page Break View mode''' displays in the '''Chart Editor''' window of the '''Page Layout''' ribbon tool bar tab and shows the entire chart '''sectioned''' into '''pages''' with the '''page numbers''' displayed as '''watermarks''' in each section.

7) To do this requires going to the desired '''snapshot''' and specifically using the '''Delete''' command with the '''From this snapshot''' sub-command to achieve the desired result.
+
====Print Preview====

8) This option works in the same way as '''deleting curtains''' from specific '''snapshots'''.
+
The '''Print Preview mode''' displays in the '''Page Layout''' ribbon tool bar tab's '''Chart Editor''' window but shows each page of the '''multi-page''' set of '''pages''' with all '''titles, headers, footers, the time axis, the legend, swimlane labels, text columns, and all decorations''' created for the chart. For more details on the features and use of these three '''View modes''', please use the following link: [[View Modes for Version 7.1 | View Modes]] <!--8.6.1.1-71-->

13) '''Background images''' are always in the '''background''', while task/milestone shapes and other visual data represented are in the '''foreground'''.

14) However, '''background images''' can be '''ordered''' within the '''background Z-Level layer'''.

15) To control the '''Order''' of a '''background image''', right-click the '''background image''' and select '''Order''' command from the '''background image''' right-click '''context menu'''.

:a) '''Bring to the front'''.  Position the '''background image''' in '''front of all others''' in the '''background layer'''.

:b) '''Send to back'''.  Position the '''background image''' '''behind all others''' in the '''background layer'''.

:c) '''Bring forward'''.  Incrementally, move the '''background image''' one '''Z-Level''' interval at a time '''forward'''.  This action brings the '''background image''' toward the '''front''' of the '''background layer'''.  This action is not very useful.

===Change to a Different Background Image===
+

+
17) Once you’ve placed a '''background image''' into the '''graph''', you have the option to change the '''background image''' to a different '''background image''' by following these steps.
+

+
18) Right-click on the '''background image''' to access the '''context menu''' as shown above.

19) Click the '''Change to a different image…''' command (as seen in the figure above of the '''context menu''') which accesses the '''Open picture file''' form as shown below:

20)  Alternatively, you can navigate to the folder where the desired '''background image''' is stored.
+

+
21) Select the replacement '''background image''' you want to '''insert''' and click the '''Open''' button.
+

+
22) OnePager '''replaces''' the current '''background image''' in the '''snapshot''' with the '''selected replacement background image''' retaining the '''size''' and '''other properties''' of the former '''background image'''.

23) Normally, as show above, '''inserting''' a '''background image''' places it into '''all snapshots'''.
+

+
24) However, when you purposely '''Change to a different image…''' the '''change''' applies '''only''' to the '''currently snapshot'''.

25)  Other '''snapshots''' with '''background images''' retain the original '''background image'''.

26) To apply the '''background image change''' to '''all snapshots''', right-click on the '''replaced background image''' to access the '''context menu''' shown below and click the '''Put image at all snapshots''' command.

Overview

Illustrations used in this article are from OnePager Pro using data from Microsoft Project but the feature's function, controls, and manual edits apply equally to other OnePager editions that import from data sources like Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet, and Oracle Primavera P6.

The OnePager Chart Editor operates in three user controlled View modes. View mode selection is done from the OnePager Page Layout ribbon tool bar tab shown here:

P70-8 6 1-70-(1)-08252019.png

View Modes Settings Group

The three (3) View modes are:

Normal

The Normal View mode is the default view mode in the Chart Editor window when OnePager is launched. As such, the Normal View mode displayed in the Page Layout ribbon tool bar tab is no different from the display in the Chart Editor under any other OnePager ribbon tool bar tab.

Page Break

The Page Break View mode displays in the Chart Editor window of the Page Layout ribbon tool bar tab and shows the entire chart sectioned into pages with the page numbers displayed as watermarks in each section.

Print Preview

The Print Preview mode displays in the Page Layout ribbon tool bar tab's Chart Editor window but shows each page of the multi-page set of pages with all titles, headers, footers, the time axis, the legend, swimlane labels, text columns, and all decorations created for the chart. For more details on the features and use of these three View modes, please use the following link: View Modes
