Anatomy of a OnePager Graph Area for OnePager 8.0
About the OnePager Chart's Graph Area
The illustration that follows is provided to show just the major capabilities of the premium Graphs & Data Cells feature using data from Microsoft Project imported into OnePager Pro. The Graphs & Data Cells features, functions, controls, and manual edits apply equally to other OnePager editions that import from data sources like Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet, Oracle Primavera P6, Planisware Enterprise, Asana, and Wrike.
OnePager supports three Graph Panels that can be used to display Graphs & Data Cells. When any of the three Panels is in Graphs Mode, the Panel supports three (3) Series. In Data Cells Mode each Panel supports one (1) Series. Three Panels are displayed in the illustration below and are described as follows:
- 1) The top Panel displays a single Series of a Vertically Pivoted Column Graph of Cost Pivoted by Resource Names. There are other Graph types that can be Vertically Pivoted and these include the Line, Area, Smooth Line and Smooth Area Graph types.
- 2) The middle Panel displays a single Series of a Horizontally Pivoted Column Graph of Cost Pivoted by Resource Names. Only Column Graph types can be Horizontally Pivoted. In the Horizontally Pivoted display OnePager supports an X-Axis with titles and labels. In Graph Mode, each Panel has the option to display a Graph Legend for the Panel.
- 3) The bottom Panel displays a Series of Data Cells containing a Data Cells title and Data Cells values.
Graphs & Data Cells can be organized into groupings by Year, Quarter, Month, Week, and Day. We do not recommend groupings below the Day.
The figure below shows the capabilities of the OnePager Chart's Graph Area. Each numbered pointer refers to a paragraph number in the next sub-section.

OnePager Graph Area Components
1) Vertically Pivoted Column Graph of Cost that is Vertically Pivoted by Resource Names. The height of each segment in the Column represents the Cost value attributed to the Resource assigned in the timespan in which the Column is present.
- a) Graphs can be displayed using timespans of Years, Quarters, Months, Weeks, and Days although there are smaller timespans supported. We do not recommend using timespans shorter than a Day.
- b) The Height of a Panel is controllable in the Template Properties and Chart Properties form's Graphs/Data Cells tab.
- c) Graph & Data Cells Panels can be shown at the top of the Chart below the OnePager tool bar ribbon or at the bottom of the Chart below the bottom row.
- d) Each Panel in Graph Mode supports three (3) Series which can be individually turned ON or OFF.
- e) Controls for each Panel include:
- i) Field selection from the source plan.
- ii) The option to create Non-Cumulative or Cumulative Graphs.
- iii) The option to Skip Zero values in the Graph.
- iv) The option to select between Linear Interpolation of the Graph Series or Time-Phased Interpolation.
- v) The option to select between All tasks to be considered for the creation of the Graph or just Flagged tasks.
- v) The option to select the Graph Type between Line, Column, Area, Smooth Line, or Smooth Area Graph types.
- vi) The option to select the Series Style which is typically the Graph's color for Non-Pivoted Graphs.
- f) For each Panel there are controls, where appropriate, for displaying and editing the Y-Axis, X-Axis, Graph Panel Legend, and Graph Borders.
2) Y-Axis is displayed for all Graph types.
- a) OnePager provides a form for specifying the properties of the Y-Axis.
- b) The Y-Axis properties can be edited at any time.
3) Y-Axis Tic Units are created by OnePager depending on the low and high values associated with the data being Graphed.
- a) There are controls available for scaling the Y-Axis.
- b) We recommend that each Series displayed in a Panel use the same units.
- c) Y-Axis Tic Units can be adjusted with the Multiplier feature.
- d) Font properties controls are also provided for editing the Y-Axis Tic Units.
4) The Tic Line is the horizontal line emanating from each Y-Axis Tic Unit which crossed the Graph Mode Panel horizontally.
- a) Tic Lines can be edited to change their color, width, and dash-type.
- b) Tic Lines can also be hidden.
5) Panel Bottom Border is the horizontal line provided between Panels or the bottom Panel and the top of the Chart Area.
- a) Panel Bottom Borders can be edited to change their color, width, and dash-type.
- b) Panel Bottom Borders occupy the same space as a Panel Top Border for the Panel Below as shown in the illustration.
6) Panel Top Border is the horizontal line provided between Panels or the 'top Panel and the bottom of the Time-Axis.
- a) Panel Top Borders can be edited to change their color, width, and dash-type.
- b) Panel Top Borders occupy the same space as a Panel Bottom Border for the Panel Above.

- a) Options are available for editing the properties of the Y-Axis Title.
- b) OnePager supports including the Multiplier as a symbol or text in the Y-Axis Title.
- c) We recommend that each Series displayed in a Panel use the Pivot Field.
8) Panel Graph Legend is provided for each Panel.
- a) The Panel Graph Legend provides a single Graph Legend for all Series displayed in the Panel.
- b) The Panel Graph Legend can be edited with respect to its Size, Borders, and Font properties.
- c) Selecting the Graph Legend with a left-click allows for the Graph Legend's Size and Position to be manually adjusted.
- d) When there are no Swimlanes or Text Columns present in the Chart, the Panel Graph Legend is automatically placed in the upper left corner of the Graph Area.
- e) When there are too many values imported for the source plan Field use for Horizontal or Vertical Pivoting, the Panel Graph Legend can become very long and possibly exceed the height of the Graph Area. We recommend using Horizontal and Vertical Pivoting source plan Fields that possess a limited number of values.
9) The Panel Graph Legend Title is shown at the top of the Panel Graph Legend.
- a) The Panel Graph Legend Title can be edited with respect to its Font properties.
- b) Extended Panel Graph Legend Title is wrapped as necessary to prevent the Title from being truncated within the Panel Graph Legend's Borders.
10) Panel Graph Legend Items are created for each unique value available in the selected Field for the Pivoted Graph.
- a) The Panel Graph Legend Items can be edited with respect to its Font properties.
- b) Extended Panel Graph Legend Items are wrapped as necessary to prevent the Item from being truncated within the Panel Graph Legend's Borders.
- c) For Graph Panels that are not Pivoted, the Panel Graph Legend Item is the source plan Field selected for the Series.
- d) For Graph Panels displaying multiple Un-Pivoted Series, the Panel Graph Legend contains an Item for each of the active Series taken from the source plan Field selected for each active Series in the Panel.
11) Horizontally Pivoted Column Graph of Cost that is Horizontally Pivoted by Resource Names.
