Introduction

Illustrations used in this article are from OnePager Pro Add-in and Standalone using data from Microsoft Project, however, Graphs/Data Cells features, functions, controls, and editing apply equally to other OnePager Add-in and Standalone editions that import from data sources like Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet, Oracle Primavera P6, Planisware Enterprise, Asana, and Wrike. At present, Microsoft Planner source plans do not provide time-series data that can be processed and displayed by the Graphs/Data Cells feature.

The purpose of this article is to put, in a single article, illustrations of each Graph type of Graph, Data Cell sets, Horizontally Pivoted Column Graphs, and Vertically Pivoted Graphs.

Pivoted Graph Types

OnePager can also slice and dice or rather “Pivot” your graphs based on another source plan imported field like Resource Names or Phase Names. Pivoting a graph allows you to take a single series of data and split it out by different people assigned by team responsibility, or however you might want to slice and dice you data. As examples you might want to Pivot as follows:

  • Work hours by Resource Name
  • Budget Dollars by Assigned Team Name
  • Cost Dollars by Assigned Team Name

OnePager can Pivot Graphs either Vertically or Horizontally for various Graph types as shown in the table below:

Vertically Pivoted Graph Types

Vertically Pivoting takes a standard Column Graph, for example, and applies different colors to the Column based on the imported data field used for Pivoting. Shown below is a Column Graph Pivoted by Resource Names. The Column Graph Pivot example is followed by examples of the other supported Vertically Pivoted Graph types.

Horizontally Pivoted Graph Types

Horizontal Pivoting is similar in concept to Vertically Pivoting wherein the values in the Graph are split up based on a second imported source plan field. As the name implies, Horizontally Pivoted Column Graphs are oriented left-to-right instead of top-to-bottom. OnePager supports only Horizontally Pivoted Column Graphs as illustrated below:
