Managing Formatting for Data Cells in OnePager for Version 8.0
Introduction to Formatting for Data Cells
Illustrations used in this article are from OnePager Pro Add-in and Standalone using data from Microsoft Project, however, Graphs & Data Cells features, functions, controls, and editing apply equally to all OnePager Add-in and Standalone editions that import from data sources like Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet, Oracle Primavera P6, Planisware Enterprise, Asana, and Wrike. At present Microsoft Planner source plans do not provide time-series data that can be processed and displayed by the Graphs & Data Cells feature of OnePager.
This article and the articles linked from here describe OnePager’s Graphs & Data Cells feature which provides you with the capabilities to show graphs of time-series data (e.g., Cost data) in graphic forms along with your Gantt/Timeline Charts. Additionally, the Graphs & Data Cells feature also provides you with the ability to show time-series data (e.g., Cost data) imported from your source plan in tabular forms.
This article describes the controls in the Formatting control group of the Chart Properties form’s Graphs & Data Cells tab in Data Cells mode as shown below:

The Formatting control group shown above for the Chart Properties form has three controls that are applied to the Panel. The three controls include a Font properties control for the Data Cells Panel’s Cell Values; access to the Data Cells Formatting – Panel #n form; and the Number Format sub-control group for managing decimal places, 1000 separator options, number symbol options, and Multiplier options. These controls are discussed in the sub-sections which follow.
Formatting Control Group for Data Cells
The three controls in the Formatting control group for Data Cells are briefly explained below.
Detailed descriptions on the use of the controls are provided in the articles linked in the table below:

Font Control
Clicking the Font dropdown arrow accesses the Font Properties form. This form is standard in all OnePager editions. The Font properties form is shown in the illustration below:

The Font properties form support changes in the Data Cell Panel’s Cell Value font with respect to Font type, Font color, Font point size, and the application of Bold, Italics, and Underline label text.
As an example, the Font properties form shown above can be used to change the color of Data Cell Values to Red and BOLD as shown in the illustration below:

The Font dropdown, in the above illustration, changes each Data Cell Value’s Font properties to BOLD and Red.
Font properties discussed above as well as all other properties of Data Cells are snapshot independent.

Data Cell Formatting Controls
Clicking the Data Cell Formatting button accesses the Data Cell Formatting – Panel #1 form shown below. Each Data Cell mode Panel has its own individual Data Cell Formatting – Panel #n form supporting the active Panel. Accordingly, you have the capability to create up to three differently configured Data Cells in the Graph area when all three Panels are enabled in Data Cell mode and appropriately configured. The Data Cell Formatting – Panel #1 form is shown below:

The Data Cell Formatting –Panel #n form shown above has three control groups. The first is for creating and editing a Custom Title for the Data Cell Panel and the controls for formatting the Custom title in terms of text, font properties, alignment, rotation, and background color.
The second or Data Format control group has controls for managing the properties of the data in each of the data cells to include their font properties, alignment, and rotation.
The third or Cell Format control group has controls for managing the Data Cells Borders in terms of color, width, and line style for Top and Bottom borders only. Additionally, the third control group has two color controls for managing the background color of Data Cells in the Panel.
As a note, the Vertical Borders for Data Cells as with Graph mode Panels is provided by the Time-Axis Vertical Border controls.

Number Format Controls
The Number Format sub-control group has four (4) controls for setting the Number of decimal places for the numeric data, establishing the Symbol for the separation of digits between thousands (1,000), specifying the Symbol to be used for currency or time periods, and provides the control for selecting a Multiplier text and Factor for the Data Cell Label and corresponding Data Cell Values. The Number Format sub-control group is shown in the illustration below:

Number Format – Decimal places Example
The Number Format sub-control group provides editing controls for establishing the Number of decimal places for Data Cell Values, options for inserting separators between groups of three digits in lager Data Cell Values, specifying options for Currency symbols and Time period tags (e.g., Hrs and Days), and for selecting Multiplier options as illustrated below:

Number Format – 1000 Separator Options Example
The 1000 separator dropdown has three options: Comma, Period, and None where the Comma is the default selection as shown below:

The 1000 separator of Comma is used in the Chart with Graph area Data Cells shown in a previous illustration above.
Number Format – Symbol Options Example
The Symbol dropdown has nine (9) options available with one (1) for Percentage, five (5) for Currencies, and two (2) for Time Periods as shown in the illustration here:

The Symbol $ is used in the Chart with Graph area Data Cells shown in a previous illustration above.
Number Format – Multiplier
The Multiplier is provided so that the Data Cell Label and Data Cell Values can show a text that specifies the value to be multiplied by to get the displayed Data Cell Value in each Data Cell. This is illustrated below for thousands where the multiplier is “K”:

When the Multiplier selected above is applied to the Panel’s Data Cells, the Multiplier is shown in the Data Cell Label and the Data Cell Values are scaled by a Factor of one-thousand as shown below:

Summary
This article describes the controls available on the on the Chart Properties form’s Graphs & Data Cells tab when the selected Panel is in Data Cells mode. There are three Panels available for Data Cells mode, labeled Panel #1, Panel #2, and Panel #3. Each Panel has the capability to support one time-series set of Data Cells per Panel. In Data Cells mode, the Graphs & Data Cells tab has all the controls necessary for creating Data Cells in the Chart either above the Chart area or below the Chart area. The controls provided in the Graphs & Data Cells tab in Data Cells mode provide capabilities to a select source plan fields, configure imported source plan data for the desired Data Cells representation and format the display of the Data Cell’s values as desired.
