Overview

The Getting Started (Portal) article covered a few ways of creating and updating charts and snapshots. The article links below provide you with access to more detailed articles on how to use OnePager for:

  • Creating NEW charts
  • OPENING existing charts
  • ADDING snapshots
  • REPLACING snapshots
  • Using the Pull-Operation Feature
  • Using the Conditional Import Rules feature

There are essentially six (6) workflows categories you can use. The Conditional Import Rules feature can be used on all these workflow categories. Of course, OnePager's flexibility allows you to innovate on your own. Clicking on any of the links below accesses the article where you'll find a flow diagram and a step-by-step procedure on how to accomplish the workflow. At the end of this article are links to cautionary articles dealing with merging wrong source plan tasks during chart updates. It is recommended that these articles be reviewed.

Using the OnePager Conditional Import Rules Feature

The Conditional Import Rules feature gives you the capability to specify a set of rules for OnePager to use to control the data imported from your Microsoft Project or Microsoft Excel source plan at the time OnePager is launched. The Conditional Import Rules feature is easy to use and is an alternative to the process of establishing a Flag field to control source plan task/milestone imports. Further, the Conditional Import Rules can be changed at any time without the need to make a change to your source plan. This means that you have to option to create different charts from the same source plan by merely making alterations to the Conditional Import Rules.

For more information on Conditional Import Rules, please see the articles at: Conditional Import Filters (Portal) 7.18.1-71
