1) Often you would like the format settings changes you make for a task to be the same for a milestone and vice versa.

a) In previous versions this required you to make individual format setting changes to your Template Properties form’s Task Bar tab and Milestone tab.
b) After project views were created and you wanted to make formats setting changes for tasks and milestones you similarly had to make corresponding changes in the Project-View Properties (PVP) form’s Task Bar and Milestone tabs to accomplish the same result. This was time consuming and error prone.

2) In OnePager version 5.3 we’ve added a simple checkbox to the Template Properties and PVP forms in both the Task Bar and Milestone tabs that give you the option to mirror task format changes with milestone format changes and vice versa.

3) The image below shows you where we’ve added a checkbox to implement this feature. Checking the box in either the Task Bar tab or the Milestones tab of the Template Properties” or PVP form will mirror most individual format setting changes at that level. Please keep in mind that with the checkbox checked Template Properties changes are strictly for the current template and PVP changes are for only the current project view.

4) When the Mirror… checkbox is checked, a blue dot will appear to the right of any control that can participate in the mirroring process.

a) Only those format settings that have common properties between tasks and milestones (e.g. color and borders) can by mirrored using this feature.
b) Properties that exist only for tasks (e.g. endpoints or critical segments) or only for milestones (e.g. milestone shapes) cannot be mirrored and will therefore not show the blue dot.

5) All changes made to properties displaying the blue dot after the Mirror… checkbox is checked will be mirrored. Checking the Mirror… checkbox will not automatically make existing format settings the same between tasks and milestones. To make task and milestones have the same format, you must make appropriate Task/Milestone format changes after you check the Mirror... checkbox.

6) Unchecking the Mirror… checkbox will stop OnePager from mirroring further format setting changes between tasks and milestones.

7) If you make any task or milestone into a maverick in any way, that task or milestone will not participate in the Mirror… function. If the maverick task or milestone has its default settings reestablished, it will subsequently participate in the Mirror… function.
