Conditional Formatting (Portal)

11.0.1-OPL

Conditional formatting allows you to establish a set of rules that will alter the look of your project view as the data in your Microsoft Project plan or Microsoft Excel plan changes through the course of your project. It goes beyond the dynamic color-coding feature described, for example, in this article: Task Bars Tab-OnePager LIve 21.1.3.1-OPL.

The following elements can be defined by using conditional formatting rules:

  • Shape (task or milestone)
  • Color
  • Height
  • Border
  • Label Font

You can define these rules in either before or after you create new project view. To create rules before you create a project view, use the Template Properties form. To create (or modify) rules after you create a project view, use the Project-View Properties (PVP) form. The former will give you access to all the columns in Microsoft Project plan or Microsoft Excel plan whereas the latter will give you access to up to eight (8) plus Color column from the columns that you decided to import when you first created the project view.
