About Managing the Current Template Properties Form

1) Since OnePager is distributed with many pre-defined Template Properties forms to choose from, you need to know how to:

  • Find the available Template Properties forms,
  • Use a selected Template Properties form,
  • Create a new Template Properties form and save the Template Properties form created or changed in your Template folder,
  • Make a Template Properties form from a chart,
  • Rename a Template file,
  • Delete an unneeded Template Properties form,
  • Find included images in Template Properties forms,
  • And include logos in Template Properties forms.

2) We’ll discuss on each of these topics in this article.

3) These topics apply equally to OnePager Express as the do for OnePager Pro and to both the Add-in and Desktop applications.

Finding Available Template Properties Forms and Changing the Current Template Properties Forms

1) OnePager is distributed with a fairly comprehensive set of Template Properties forms.

2) By default, the out of the box Template Properties form is the Single Project Gantt View – Detailed template. Template Properties forms are stored in separate folders.

3) In addition, OnePager separates the Template Properties forms into those that use English measuring units (inches), those that use Metric measuring units (centimeters), and Legacy Templates (created prior to the version 5.3 release).

4) To locate your available Template Properties form, launch the Template Properties form by clicking the Templates… button on the Microsoft Project or Excel tool bar.

5) Alternatively, when using the OnePager Desktop application, launch the application and go to the File ribbon tool bar tab and locate the Template button on the Options tab. Clicking the Template button accesses the Template Propertiesform as shown below.

6) Click the File button on the Template Properties form's tool bar and click the Open… command.

7) The result is shown below:

P70-24 6 1-70-(1)-12022020.png
<P70-24_6_1-70-(1)-12022020.png>

8) Hovering over a RECENT Template chart file name reveals the path name to the associated Template Properties form being used by that chart file name.

9) To see your available Template Properties forms, click the BROWSE… option to access the Microsoft Windows Explorer window showing your available Template Properties forms in their folder:

P70-24 6 1-70-(2)-12022020.png
<P70-24_6_1-70-(2)-12022020.png>

10) Select the Template Properties form file you need and then click the Open button.

11) This establishes the selected Template Properties form as the current Template.

12) Any new charts created from this point on uses this selected Template Properties form.

Using the Selected Template Properties Form

1) As discussed in the sub-section above, after you have located the desired Template Properties form and have the Template Properties form displayed on the screen, just click the Use button to close the form.
