About OnePager Version 6.1

OnePager Pro (OPP) and Express (OPX) version 6.1 provides two new capabilities summarized in this article. The sub-sections below provide introductory material and links to more detailed discussions of these two new features:

(1) Task Link Upgrades.
(2) Time Axis Upgrades.

Task Link Upgrades

With OnePager 6.1, you can now show data-driven dependencies by importing predecessor information directly from Microsoft Project or Excel. In previous versions, you could only manually insert links between tasks and milestones, a sometimes tedious undertaking.

In OnePager Pro/Express version 6.1 you can now import predecessor data from your source plans. You can manipulate Task Link representations in your project views; exercise controls by defining Task Link show/hide filter rules; and use enhanced graphics to alter Task Link colors, arrow heads, and line styles. As with previous versions of OnePager, you can still manually create and edit Task Links as you’ve probably done before.

Supporting this new capability is a new tab on the Template and Project-View Properties (PVP) forms. The forms give you global control over the Task Link import and formatting. Additionally, you have enhanced manual capabilities to select individual Task Links in the project view and edit them with enhanced controls in the Project View Editor. There are also a couple of enhancements to OnePager's Home tab supporting this upgrade with convenient controls.

Detailed articles for using the new Task Links Upgrades can be found at this link: Linking Task and Milestone Using Manual and Data-Driven Task Links 19.0.1-61.

Please take a moment to look at the Read More… article below which provides an overview of these new Task Link capabilities in summary form.

Other Enhancements

OnePager Pro and Express version 6.1 has some other enhancement, including the following:

AutoSave Feature for OnePager 6.1 (0.4.1.11-61-12212017.doc)

Automatic Saving of Project Views

OnePager 6.1 implements a new AutoSave feature to assist users recover from operating system crashes, laptop battery outages, and other errors where you cannot recover your work effectively.

The feature is automatically turned ON when you launch OnePager 6.1 either the Add-in or Desktop application.

During the operation of OnePager 6.1, the AutoSave saves your project view as a .TAM file in your default project view directory. This is normally in the Documents folder under either OnePager Pro or OnePager Express.

The AutoSave file is in the form of _AutoSave_projectviewname.TAM. Only the last AutoSave file exists at a time in your default project view directory.

An AutoSave file is written to this folder every five (5) minutes of OnePager 6.1’s operation.

When you close OnePager 6.1 under normal conditions, OnePager will delete the AutoSave file so as not to occupy unnecessary storage space.

For more information, please see the following article: Troubleshooting (Redraw, Re-Starting, AutoSave, Feedback, Log Reporting) 26.0.1-61

Managing the AutoSave Feature

The AutoSave feature is ON when OnePager 6.1 is launched.

You have the option to turn the feature OFF by unchecking the checkbox found on the File tab of the OnePager 6.1 ribbon at the Options sub-tab. To turn the feature OFF, uncheck the checkbox and OnePager 6.1 no longer saves your project view every 5 minutes.

Turning the AutoSave feature OFF causes the feature to remain OFF until the next OnePager 6.1 launch where you turn the feature back ON.
