About Editing with the Chart Properties Form

1) In the articles at Manual Editing Task/Milestone Shapes and Text Labels (Portal)) 9.0.1-70 it is shown how individual shapes in the chart can be manually edited.

2) These edits apply to the individual shape(s) only.

3) The term maverick is used in OnePager to describe the task/milestone shape properties that differ from the global defaults or from data driven (conditional formatting) values.

4) In addition to manual editing individual shape(s), OnePager can dynamically format your charts based on global default settings established first in Template forms and brought into the chart and managed with the Chart Properties form.

5) The settings are maintained in the Chart Properties form, contain some of the most powerful and time saving OnePager features.

6) The articles in this series describe global editing for task/milestone shapes and decorations.

Understanding the Chart Properties form

1) Use the Chart Properties form to view or edit default settings that affect the appearance of the chart itself or of all (non-maverick) tasks/milestone shapes.

2) For example, instead of changing all milestone shapes or colors one at a time, you can use the Chart Properties form to define your desired shapes, colors and other properties for tasks/milestone shapes and other decorations.

3) You can access the form from the OnePager ribbon's Home tab by clicking the Chart Properties button as shown below:

4) Once the Chart Properties form is available in the Chart Editor, notice that the form has several tabs with multiple available settings you can configure to tailor the look of your charts.
